  • Configuring user credentials for Azure DevOps (formerly VSTS)

In order to authenticate in Microsoft Azure DevOps (formerly VSTS) you should generate Personal Access Token or use Alternate Credentials:

Generating access tokens (recommended):

  1. Browse to your Azure DevOps (formerly VSTS) account (youraccount.visualstudio.com or dev.azure.com/youraccount)
  2. Click on your avatar in the upper right corner of the page and then click Security
  3. Switch to Personal access tokens tab and create new token
  4. Give your access token a name and set expiration date
  5. Copy generated token and now you can use it in TFS4JIRA Synchronizer profiles configuration

Using Alternate Credentials:

  1. Browse to your Azure DevOps (formerly VSTS) account (youraccount.visualstudio.com or dev.azure.com/youraccount)
  2. Click on your avatar in the upper right corner of the page and then click Security
  3. Switch to Alternate credentials tab, check the Enable checkbox and set your alternate password. Now you can use this password in TFS4JIRA Synchronizer configuration
